check/call. Button can have AQ here. I would have three bet the flop.

I check, button checks and turns over A6o

curious to see how many folks lead the river and fold/call a raise.

the flop 3-bet did cross my mind, but I wanted to raise the turn to see how much the villians liked their hands. It incorrectly convinced me that the button was on a heart draw....

That long thought usually means he doesn't have a flush draw.

Correct. "Old men" in the Bellagio 100/200 game are not nits (usually). Plus flush draws are less likely with both the A and K of trump accounted for.

I like your flop and turn play. Lead river and call a raise.

Doesnt button bet a bunch of hands on the river that we can beat if checked to on the river? Obviously not in this case, but won't AQ, A6 etc bet here on river when checked to most of the time?

Tuco.

well, they should, but they will also call a bet probably more often than they will bet in my oppinion, we dont really have too much of a read on the old man other than the fact that he cold/called a CO openraise on the button, which may suggest that he is fairly passive(also, there are a few pretty passive guys in this game), plus he could just be some donk with a smaller ace

also the fact that he paused for a while before calling probably means that we shouldnt really fear a flush draw, as that shoudl probably be an automatic (yet maybe painful) call

i dont really see what check/calling does for us that beting dosent, if he has a weaker made hand, hes definately calling a river bet after he called 2 cold on the turn, but a lot of guys in this game will miss bets when you check to them, especially after you have represented some real strength

if he raises, i pay it off because the pot is big and you will probably see something stupid like AK every now and then
