Dual Monitors not working properly

Ok, i have 2 lcds, one 19' and onde 17', both use 1280x1024. I use windows XP and i have a 6800GT with 2 DVI ports. I plugged both monitors, but they dont appear as 2 monitors in the properties thing when rght click the desktop. If i go to configs, select the 6800GT tab, then i can use then in mirror mode or span, but the functionality is VERY limited. I cant swap the order of the monitors, cant use Ultramon, cant use one display in landscape and the other in portrait, etc. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks a lot...

Have you downloaded and installed the nVidia nView program?
That is where the advanced control stuff is.
