Is Party Poker safe?
I was considering depositing in Party Poker (as I've heard it's one of the fishier sites), but have read several posts from people who have had money taken from their Party accounts. Is this a common experience, or is the site safe overall? I do use a wireless connection from my condo, but it is secured (no access without 10 digit code). Or are there other fishy, safer sites I should consider?

Re: Is Party Poker safe?
It's safe. I dont know why some people are getting hacked or whatever, pretty sure it has more to do with their computers then Party itself. Not saying it doesnt suck or it cant happen but I wouldnt worry about it.

Re: Is Party Poker safe?
This aspect wouldn't stop me from playing on Party.
But it would probably lead me to keep my balance relatively low there. I also am curious about all these alleged hackings and stolen funds being reported. |

Re: Is Party Poker safe?
you have no idea how unhelpful party is when trying to get your money back from hacks. they go as far as to not disclosing the name of the moneybooker account the hacker sent the money to because of "privacy" issues even after sending in photo id/ etc....

Re: Is Party Poker safe?
I can imagine.
Perhaps it is worth considering this stuff when deciding whether to play there or not. Just melts right in with all the other issues. Suffice it to say, I feel pretty safe with my money on Stars and WSEX (large sports-betting site) and would feel less so with Party. I wouldn't be excessively paranoid about it, but definitely would not get TOO comfortable there (and probably a few other sites too). |

Re: Is Party Poker safe?
I agree with microbob.
If both my party account and stars account got hacked, I would have about 10 million times more confidence in pokerstars not only getting my money back but making the whole process WAY easier on me etc. but then again I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] pokerstars |
