Real Estate in Vegas
Does anyone know how the Vegas real estate is currently doing? I will probably have to pay more than 25k in California tax so would it be better for me to move to Vegas now instead of waiting for the 2007 real estate collapse?
If the houses aren't that overvalued, I don't think it's such a bad idea to buy it now since the yearly mortgage payments are less than what I will be giving to the Golden State. What do you guys think? |

I thought about that. But I'm just the type of person that like to own things.

I thought about that. But I'm just the type of person that like to own things. [/ QUOTE ] Read Degens post on buying a home in henderson. I wrote a response about how I think about comparing renting to owning. My advice is to choose whatever is cheapest right now, and if that's renting, just wait until the glut on the market settles down more (i.e. inventory isn't over 6 months) before you think of buying. |

Have you condidered owning stuff other than real estate. I hear stamp collecting is educational, enjoyable, and enriching. |

Re: Real Estate in Vegas
You will still owe a lot of CA income tax for having lived here for 7.5 months of the year already.

Also have some conflict diamonds to dispose of, if you are interested. |
