Default What are the games like in Windsor?

I am planning a trip to windsor... gamble all day, drink all night, what are the games/casino/nightlife like in windsor. Help me pick some things to do... and describe the games....

I'm thinking of like 200NL or 400NL

I played there a couple of weeks ago. They spread 3/6 limit and 1/2 and 2/5 no limit. The max buys in at 1/2 and 2/5 are $100 and $200 respectively. At 1/2 you pay $5 per half hour in 'session fee' and at 2/5 you pay $7. The game and the room is lousy, it's a long ways from everything and it smells like an old cigarette all the time even though they don't allow smoking. The dealers are adequate but the tables and chairs are in lousy shape. The whole casino is awful, in my opinion.

I give it a D- grade.

I was just at Casino Windsor over the weekend. Don't go. The session fees for the 1/2 NL are $6 per half hour, not 5. Most players are loose beyond loose, which normally is cool, but not when you have to make around 10 bb/hour to profit in any way due to session fees. The dealers were terrible while I was there. They would say kickers in play when they weren't, read bet sizes incorrectly, not notice when the players did not move the button themselves, etc. Especially considering they have automatic shufflers, the dealers should be able to pay attention to the button. Tables and chairs were really uncomfotable for someone my height (6'2"). Most of the casino is under construction and it really is just not that great. I had more fun playing partypoker in my hotel room than I did with the senior center that was the poker room.

Although the whole casino is now smoke free, so major plus for that.

As for the nightlife, its decent. There is an enormous population of 19-20 year old kids from Michigan and Ohio, for obvious reasons. Just don't get too drunk and walk 20+ blocks in the opposite direction from your hotel like I did. That was a hike.

Alright.. Im a regular at casino windsor... im there prolly a few times a week... ive been going since i was 19 and im 21 now.. Like what was said before they offer 3/6 limit which is an EASY game normally at least 5 players per flop who are ready to suck out on you... but the game can easily be beaten.. its still not as bad as the other posts are making it seem.. i actually like it better than the casinos here in mich.. but the other posters had it right it is a senior citizen poker room lots of old guys with mad cash who dont care about calling at any instance.. Also there short staffed.. so there could be VERRRY long lines on the weekends... i went last weekend and it was 36 ppl deep for 3 6 and there were only 2 tables and they wernt opening anymore... so thats what sucks.. the session fees are stupid because the dealers deal slower in the 1/2 games u prolly dont even get a full orbit with the 30 mins.. so it becomes rather expensive..

The Nightlife is amazing... specailly on the strip there are like 15 different clubs to go into.. and there are AMAZING girls there to.. Bentleys, Woodys, Voodoo, and Rush are a few of my favs!... Stay away from Dantes... REALLY bad place... hope this helps!

Since turning 19, i have been frequently Windsor pretty often. And its rather upsetting that they never have been able to get a bigger limit game going then 3/6 and even then usually only 1-2 tables of 3/6 so the waits are bad.

For NL the 1/2 and the 2/5 games have been good and they move through the lists quick there, and i mean very quick, they call your name, and then last call it in the same breath, so you have baout 30 seconds to take a seat or they move on.

Also the lists are electronic, the tabels have shufflers (msot of them) and cup holders bulit into. I thought theroom was relativly nice and well run actually.

However, the Limit games there suck as 3/6 was it. Although I did get in a really great 10/20 round by round hold em' and omaha. And thier 500min NL game is also a gold mine.

Game quality = great, but not really a great place if you want to play limit like me.

500 min is usually 10/20 uncapped I believe, the 200max is 2/5 and the 100max is 1/2.

I like the room, the autoshufflers are pretty nice, the players are pretty stupid, I can't believe people are ragging on it.

The 500 Min usually only gets going on the weekends. It's super soft.
