$100NL ring: I raise big on flop w/ TP+FD then check it down??
I had just sat down a few hands earlier, so no reads/info. I raised the flop thinking I'd take it down, or get reraised and have to play an allin pot in which I would have at least decent equity alot of times. When he flat calls me, I am not sure what to do UI. Comments on all streets appreciated:

preflop and flop is standard.
The way he's played it he most likely combo drawing himself so i dont mind shutting down since hero has showdown value. |

It seems you have the best hand with two checks, so why not value bet the river for $20 unless you're scared of getting blown off by a c/r.

Re: $100NL ring: I raise big on flop w/ TP+FD then check it down??
Maybe I suck at poker but I fold QJs in a flash preflop.
On the flop, I take the 4-1 odds and I call. I don't think you're getting a flop bettor and two callers all to fold very often. But as you said, raising with the possibility of getting all-in with decent equity isn't so bad either. The turn is fine, our hand isn't what you'd call a big one so let's not bloat the pot. I wouldn't bet the river because I can't see many worse hands calling. |

Played well, just unlucky you didn't hit. yo def have fold equity on the flop, you are probably behind when called and take the free card. on river there is no pt looking for a fold and not a great spot to value bet. well played sir

Re: $100NL ring: I raise big on flop w/ TP+FD then check it down??
This seems fine. You aren't getting called from hands that you beat half the time for any substantial bet. If you want to live on the edge you could try a small value bet (and risk getting checkraised by a bluff or a made straight).

I don't see how getting 2 or more callers here could ever be bad. |
