Im a Dealer, Questions?
I am perhaps the 5th or 6th best dealer where I work. Out of about 8 people. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Re: Im a Dealer, Questions?
Sorry sir, we only deal with top 4 dealers in a casino.
Only 8 dealers in your poker room? That narrows it down to exactly 2 casinos. Hooters (3 tables) and the El Cortez (also 3 tables). |

If you follow a pretty girl dealer in the rotation (this may be a stretch in a casino with eight dealers) do you get even less in tips than normal because the usually male players are "tipped out" and need to recover? Do older men in baseball caps (worn Dan Harrington style with the flat brim) and bifocals tip more or less than average? Do young WPT wannabees in baseball caps worn backwards with Phil Hellmuth style shades tip more or less than average? ~ Rick |

Unfortunately we dont have any hot girl dealers . 2. Off the top of my head I cant think of guys wearing flat rimmed hats, like they are trying to look like Harrington. But generally your older serious type player is an average tipper. 3. These guys can go either way, some wont tip at all because they are jerks or ignorant, and the others are average. Typicaly the worse/more poseur of a player they are the worse they will tip in this case. But this type of player is still safer than a 40's mullet wearing man you just know wont tip when he comes walking to the table. |

Re: Im a Dealer, Questions?
have you ever purposely skewed your recollection of a hand to the floorman involving a decision with a patron who didn't tip?

1. Unfortunately we dont have any hot girl dealers . [/ QUOTE ] I remember one dealer in the mid eighties who was just astonishingly beautiful (in an innocent European/Polish sort of way). She was also a very competent dealer. One day after she passed through the box the next dealer (an average looking female dealer) quipped to me "I hate following XYXYX in the rotation, the players are all tipped out". [ QUOTE ] 2. Off the top of my head I cant think of guys wearing flat rimmed hats, like they are trying to look like Harrington. But generally your older serious type player is an average tipper. [/ QUOTE ] Harrington's might be over flat, but by this I meant a baseball hat where the brim isn't bent in the modern fashion. Me, I don't wear hats, my hair is straight and fine and I get "hat hair". [ QUOTE ] But this type of player is still safer than a 40's mullet wearing man you just know wont tip when he comes walking to the table. [/ QUOTE ] Another strike against mullets! ~ Rick |
