Default planning to sell laptop

I am selling my laptop to a friend. What I want to know is how I change the computers "name" and the log on to reflect the new owner. Also is it possible to change the registration of the MS Office software?

I'm not worried about sensitive info, I just want to remove my name from everything and replace it with theirs.

Thanks

Using windows XP:

1.

Click Start ---> right click on My Computer ---> hit properties

This takes you to a dialog box: System Properties.

Then hit 'Computer Name' Tab. In this tab you can change the computer description, the computer name, as well as its work group.

2.

To change acccount settings:

clickon start ---> control panel
open user accounts
From here you can change all user account 'logon' information and settings

3. I don't know what you mean 'to change the registration' of MSoft software ???

If you mean install a new OS... that can easily be done.
