AAxx vs good lag, is this an easy flop call?
6-handed 5/10 plo.
hero $1278.15 Villain $998.80 <font color="blue"> villain is very loose and very aggro, but overall seems like a pretty good player. he likes to gamboool alot. I have been raising alot of pots as usual, and following up with bets ranging from 1/2 pot to full pot.</font> Hero is in SB with A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Villain raises to 35 from UTG, mp calls<font color="blue"> good player, definitly a thinker.</font>, folds to hero who raises to 150. villain and MP both call 115. flop 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (460-rake) Hero bets 330, Villain raises to 848.80 and is all in, MP folds, Hero...(518.80 to me.) |

Wouldn't surprise me to see a set of tens, or quite likely a wrap str8 draw or 2 pr and a draw (ie he has 89TJ). Since you are raising a lot, he can't definitively put you on Aces, so a total bluff seems unlikely. I think it's a fold.

There just aren't a whole lot of hands that you are ahead of aside from a pure bluff. If you opponent is thoughtful, I don't see him making a completely reckless move like that.

Well i called. i think im either ahead, or have enough equity to call getting 3-1. if he has a wrap, or pair+draw, im still calling. If he has 2 pair, i can still call getting 3-1. Really im only fearing a set here, and i think thats a small part of his entire range.
anyways, he showed QJ82, and that was a totally reasonable play given the preflop action. |
