Default Help me make a tastier burrito

Dinner tonight will be a burrito. I am getting tired of the usual though. My normal burrito usually goes something like this:

1 chicken breast pan-fried with vegetable oil and seasoning salt
a bit of shredded "mexican blend" cheese
1/2 cup of rice
few spoonfuls of medium salsa
few spoonfuls of corn
pinch of shredded lettuce
very small bit of sour cream
1 extra large soft flour burrito shell

Its getting boring, OOT. Tell me... how can I make it more exciting? What kinds of burritos do you make?

Edit: I'm thinking of incoporating ranch dressing in somehow today. Thoughts?

hmm...your usual is just about exactly what i like

i guess you could add peppers or try fresh diced tomatos instead of salsa.

beans
avocado
beans
try a different seasoning salt
beans
use beef/ pork/ whatever instead of chicken
beans
pickled jalepeno slices
beans

seriously, if there aren't any beans in it, it's not a burrito.

Elroy,

"1 extra large soft flour burrito shell"

Was that a joke, or do you actually think it's called a burrito shell?

A very simple fix would be to ditch the generic "Kraft taco cheese blend", and upgrade to some higher quality cheese.

Maybe instead of chicken, try some shredded pork or steak.

LHutz, I know its hard to believe, but I actually can't stand the taste of beans. And yes, I still call it a burrito. Jalapenos sounds like a solid idea.

Faded, Guacamole has never really done it for me. I might give it a shot though.

SamJ, How would I go about cooking this pork or steak? I think the seasoning of the meat could add greatly to this burrito, but I don't to go wrong and screw it up.

Anyone have suggestions about a ranch "burrito"?
