Default $5.50 - I fold AK ITM w/<3 BBs!

PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t400 with t25 antes (3 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

Button (t8145)
SB (t4215)
Hero (t1140)

Preflop: Hero is in BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
<font color="red">Button raises to t1200</font>, SB calls t1000, <font color="gray">Hero folds</font>

I'm relearning how to multitable at the $5.50s.

Button has been relatively tight for a $5.50 player. He's been the best player at the table all game by far.

SB is possibly the worst player I've played against at any level. He's incredibly LAG and has made a habit of getting all-in with any pair and sometimes a stone cold bluff, especially since the bubble started.

If I call, they might check it down. It's more likely, however, that SB will start betting and end up getting all-in against button's better hand.

If I fold, there's a very high probability that SB busts this hand. He'll be betting, and BTN knows the drill. BTN called SB's flop push last orbit with bottom pair and doubled up.

AK is definitely ahead of BTN's range and WAY ahead of SB's range. Is it too good to fold here?

I don't think I can fold here regardless of reads. The fold almost guarantees that you'll get 2nd at best, but it's still unlikely. A call could triple you up and suddenly put you in decent position with a shot at 1st.

I'd pretty much never fold this ever at any level. Folding this at a 5.50 might be one of the worst laydowns in the history of sngs.

I can't fold this. I think you overestimate the chances of someone busting this hand. Leaving yourself with 700 or so chips is basically giving up on getting anything other than 3rd.

I would never fold AK in that spot.
You wont get better hands and the blind is to high to wait.
Shove it!

This is a terrible fold. You have to shove here 100 times out of 100.

Well, that seems a bit crazy. Let me take another shot at defending myself...

Scenario A
OP

Scenario B
PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t400 with t25 antes (3 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

Button (t11160)
SB (t1200)
Hero (t1140)

Preflop: Hero is in BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
<font color="red">Button raises to t1200</font>, SB calls t1000, <font color="gray">Hero folds</font>

Scenario C
PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t400 with t25 antes (3 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

Button (t9645)
SB (t2715)
Hero (t1140)

Preflop: Hero is in BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
<font color="red">Button raises to t1200</font>, SB calls t1000, <font color="gray">Hero folds</font>

Scenario B is a clear fold regardless of reads. Scenario C is almost always a fold cuz villain is committed. My read is essentially that if I fold SB will bust here very often.

Does anyone agree with the fold given the strong read?
