Default KJo: My biggest money loser

Just looked through PT stats for 11.5K hands (not huge I know), but was VERY suprised to see KJo as the biggest money loser (-0.67BB/hand, 105 times).

I think I must be doing something fundamentally wrong? (Although I am winning at 3.61BB/100 across 3 levels for this sample size)

Any ideas or siggestions much appreciated (I bet you're going say "just don't play it then"?!)

Ian

I am assuming you are talking about limit. But don't know if you are playing 6-max or full ring. Or any of your habits with it. The sample size is pretty bad, as well. I would break it down by position and see where you are losing with it the most.

If you have 11k total hands, you have probably been dealt KJo 100 times or less. You really can't draw conclusions from a sample size of 100 hands.

Still, the best thing to do is to replay all your KJo hands in Poker Tracker (you can put it on auto-play and sit there and watch all of them quickly) and then take any that seem tough and post them in the appropriate strategy forum.

Play it 10,000 more times. You'll probably do better.

Many thanks for this advice. It's so obvious I should have thought of it first. I often forget about the Replay feature.

Cheers again

KTo is my biggest money loser over about 30k hands. Its just a hand where you frequently make middle pair or top pair medium kicker and are tempted to call down. There's really not much you can do except fold more. I never play KJo or KTo from middle position anymore.

You know you're in trouble when AA is your biggest loser.

I assume he's talking about limit, in which case KJ is not a terrible hand, but you gotta play it in position. Just start throwing it away in the first 3 positions or at tight tables.

KT is utter garbage that should only be played in late position.
