Default Should I switch form the 1/2NL game to the 5/10Game at Foxwoods

Okay i will keep this post simple.
I have been playing The 1/2NL game at the woods for about a year now. I am about Dead even i had a real good run about Six weeks ago when i made a 1000doller profit and then a 900doller profit. since then Its been win 200-400 or lose My Two buy in's i bring up with me.

The last Four Weeks iv lost every sesion so i am down 800.

I started out playing Limit back in 98 out in the San Diego card rooms and iv played the 2/4 and 4/8 game at foxwoods.
also did well in Thursday Limit Turnament First week in July at foxwoods so Should I change over and what Should i bring up with me bank roll wise i normoly just bring 200-400 for the 1/2 game

I'm a winner at the 1/2 NL at Foxwoods but the game is so ridicously retarded that it drives me crazy so I don't play it anymore...you know what I mean if you've played it alot.

I would suggest you play 2/5 NL (buy in for $250-$300) if you wanna play NL.

I can't speak for the 5/10 cuz I've never played it. It's a full kill game so I'd think $200 could go REAL quick if you get involved in a 10/20 hand...gotta be prepared for the kill pots otherwise just play 4/8.

yes but if i play the 2/5NL game
then i would need a Min of 600 on me since Its a 300doller Game

vs the 5/10limit game where Yah its a full kill.
but 300-500 should be plenty

So, you'll play the 5/10 kill because you think you can play with $500, but you won't play your more familar NL at 2/5 because you think you'll need $600?

FWIW, I never sit at this 5/10 without at least $800 in my pocket. Indeed, hitting a bad stretch while the game is playing at 10/20 means that you can easily get down $400--and without enough money to properly continue if you only started with $500. Consequently, starting with only $300 is just silly, and will likely lead to you to play scared poker.

Actually the 2/5 NL is a $500 game, I just sit short when I play. If you're gonna give it a go you should have at least two $300 buy-ins on you.

I would think this same $600 would be fine for the 5/10 game BUT if you lose a few pots you might get scared to play the 10/20 hands (which I understand are VERY frequent)

If you can't gamble that much stick to 1/2 nl or 4/8.
