Maybe variance
The guy seems like a decent player, his VPIP is probably around 20 or so in this full 20-40 ring game, he raises preflop with most of the hands that he plays and has applied solid aggression when he hits the flop. He's clearly not great, but he hasn't done anything dumb.
Then a hand comes up where a solid player raises one limper from the button and our hero, the seemingly decent enough player, calls from the big blind. The limper also calls and it goes to the flop three-handed. The flop is Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Checked to the button who bets, our hero calls, the limper checkraises, the button threebets, our hero and the limper call. The turn and the river get checked around.
