Default Sleeping

For the last few months I've been falling asleep on our couch with the tv on. About half the time I'd actualy end up waking back up, and moving to my bed. The other half I'd spend the entire night on the couch.

Last night I made an effort to just fall asleep in my bed, which was very hard because I'm used to the background noise of a tv, but ~1.5 hours later I was asleep, and I slept the entire night without waking up. Woke up today for the first time in months fealing good and refreshed. I wish someone would of told me this earlier. So oot, how do you sleep?

Always with the TV on. It's much easier for me to fall asleep watching a movie than in complete silence. It's usually easier to watch a movie I've seen many times before as I'm not trying to pay attention. Spaceballs would be a perfect movie for me to put and fall asleep to.

I used to sleep with the radio or tv on, but I got out of the habit a few months ago and I actually look forward to laying in bed just relaxing for a little while before drifting off.

Klompy,

A blend. Until recently I spent my entire life going to the actual bed, but the last couple of months I've fallen asleep on the couch (on my back, so comfy) and moved to the bed (stomach) some time between midnight and 3AM. FWIW I prefer not to try to sleep in either location with a TV on so I voted "Other".

EDIT: I love to play the "guess what time it is" game when I move from the couch to the bed.

skeme,

This is how I am too, I found it REALLY hard to fall asleep in silence, but the quality of sleep I had was much better I found. This might not be the case for everyone though.

-Skeme-,

We're ignoring the obvious solution: A FAN. White noise is your friend. I ran into my ANNOYING downstairs neighbor's sister (she owns the condo he lives in, she's not annyoing, he is) and she acknowleged that she used a fan when she lived below me, which was the difference between knocking on my effing door every week and sleeping in peace.

Cliff's Notes: get a fuggin fan.
