WPT/WSOP - Who Has The Most Lopsided Success?
Since the WPT began in 2002, what players would you say have had the highest "ratio" of successes in the WPT vs. the WSOP and vice versa?
For starters, perhaps: WPT success: Erick Lindgren link Tuan Le link Michael Mizrachi link Gus Hansen link Paul Phillips is a possible nominee, perhaps. WSOP success: Chris Ferguson link Greg Raymer link Phil Hellmuth link Thoughts? Who else on the WSOP side? |

Re: WPT/WSOP - Who Has The Most Lopsided Success?
Greg Raymer has not had enough accomplishments in the WSOP to put him on a list like this.
You already covered everyone for WPT (not hard to do), as for WSOP: 1. Chris Ferguson 2. Phil Hellmuth 3. Men Nguyen (has made like 2 WPT final tables, but given how he plays every damn event and has not come close to winning a title, I think he warrants being here) 4. Erik Seidel (one significant WPT final table) And consistent, balanced success on both: 1. Daniel Negreanu 2. Phil Ivey 3. Scotty Nguyen 4. John Juanda |

Both good picks. Forgot about D'Agostino.

WPT: Alan Goehring link [/ QUOTE ] While Goehring has had more success on the WPT, he does have 6 cashes, 2 final tables and a runner up in the WSOPME to his credit so I'm not if this counts as lopsided. |

Re: WPT/WSOP - Who Has The Most Lopsided Success?
I don't think Gus Hansen should be here since he hasn't had much success at the WSOP, but I don't think he plays any of the events in the WSOP except the main event.

Re: WPT/WSOP - Who Has The Most Lopsided Success?
Where is Johnny Chan on the WSOP success/WPT failure list? Seidel is a good pick here as well. Ferguson has a bunch of near-final table finishes on the WPT, so I think he has had more success there than most people realize. I would pick Mizrachi for WPT success/WSOP failure. Two WPT wins, four final tables, and an 11th in the 25K championship, but not a single WSOP final table. Gus Hansen hasn't played in the WSOP enough to qualify, and at least he cashed in the main event once. Lindgren is off the list now with a 2nd place in a WSOP event year. |
