I'm going to be traveling a lot soon so I think I'm going to splurge on the new DS lite. Looked into psp but consensus is that the games are [censored].
Want to get about 3 games. Thinking: Kirby canvas curse, heard it was cool. Mario and luigi: partners in time, I played paper mario and really liked it, and this is pretty much the same. gba version of Zelda: minish cap, cuz everyone says this is good and I kinda like zelda games. So are there any other games that I just HAVE to have? gba ones are fine w/ me as long as the gameplay is there. Was thinking of Advance Wars Dual Strike, though it looks a little complicated. Thanks guys, I know ya won't let me down when it comes to video games! ps, if anyone wants to make a poll of what games I should buy that would be cool, cuz I don't know how to do it. |

eh, forgot to mention that I'm really not into the mario brothers platform games... or really the mariocart ones either. Never played them as a kid, so no nostalgia for me.

I'd recommend:
- Metroid prime: hunters - Tetris DS - Animal Crossing (might not be to your liking) - Advance Wars (good game, will last you a long time as well) All 4 are basically the games equivalent of crack. Compared to the psp (I own both) the DS has a much, much better games line up. Also if you don't mind GBA games, you could try Final Fantasy Tactics or Final Fantasy IV. Some of the best GBA games, well suited to the road. *editted because I'm tardy with the submit button.* |

[ QUOTE ]
Animal Crossing: Wild World [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [/ QUOTE ] I have to say I didn't like this game as much as I'd think I would. It was ok at first, developing the town, interacting with the animals in the town. Then it became boring & pointless (after i basically got the money flowing with non-indigenous fruit, coconuts, fish, etc). Never played it since, after I had fun with it for 2 weeks, playing about an hour each night, tapering off to about 10 minutes at a time. |

I'll second Tetris DS, Metroid Prime: Hunters and Advance Wars: Dual Strike.
But the real crack on this platform is Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. I don't think I've put that game down since I got it. Also, Mario Kart is great, but more for online play than solo play, so perhaps that's not what you're lookin for on your trip. Lastly, I think in our last DS Lite post, someone mentioned that September was supposed to be a great month for DS games, and DS RPGs specifically... but I know nothing more than this. |
