Cap the flop with flush draw + gutshot?
I felt like I was spewing on the flop, but I reallllly wanted AX to think he was up against a 9 and fold, bad idea?
SB is very tight (6% VPIP) and pretty aggressive, so I don't think he has a 9 unless it's A9s. All pocket pairs are possible, except AA-QQ which he'd probably reraise with preflop. MP1 is a TAG, 20/15/4, so big cards as well as pairs are possible, but leaning more towards big pairs. So, does this flop look ok? What do I do if I pair a T or J on the turn? Re: Cap the flop with flush draw + gutshot?
your UTG limp is pretty optimistic at the average 3/6 table.
don't raise the flop. J-high is not the best hand, so why pay to draw? also, why would you want Ax to fold? |

Looks goot. Unlikely someone has 77. You are pumping this flop for value & not to fold out anyone really. This is probably the only time MP3 will pay you a lot with his overpair. Your overcard outs aren't worth anything.

Re: Cap the flop with flush draw + gutshot?
Hm. Paired board, only two villians, closing the action with a strong (but by no means invincible) flush. I think this is more of a call than a cap, considering all of these things combined. I don't think you have enough FE to matter here- SB may consider dumping it but MP1 seems to reaaaaally like his hand and probably isn't going anywhere.
MP1 could have a big pair with a [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] which also knocks your equity down a notch. |

also, why would you want Ax to fold? [/ QUOTE ] I made it a big X I want AT-AK to fold. Yes, UTG limp was dicey, but the table had been playing loose-passive postflop and I figured more often than not I'd be seeing it multiway. |

SB has J-high beat, so you don't want AT-AK to fold. you want him to pay you when you hit the A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] on the turn.
