Default The Great Bluff that \"Could Have Been\"

What if, in the case below, the player (after seeing Azaria's Aces...and made it clear that he had seen them) announced that he was ALL IN. What a bluff that would have been.

- - -

Two players limp to Hank Azaria in the big blind. Azaria raises to $250 and gets one caller under the gun. Before the flop comes out, Azaria accidentally turns over AA (thinking that he was not called). The players appear baffled when the flop comes out Q103. Azaria bets $500 and his opponent folds. After the hand, Azaria has $10,200, and a bit of a red face.

I made a bluff like that at last years main event and got picked off I wasn't all in though, I was monster stack and thought i could get the guy to fold. he had pair of queens over the board.

I don't think that if he showed the AA prematurely he is good enough to fold them to an all-in.

You are forgetting the 4th level thinking that most people in the WSOP usually operate at. He would call instantly, re-table those AA, and say - "I knew you thought that I thought that you thought I could find a fold, but because you thought I thought this, I thought that you were full of [censored]."

Or just call the 500 if you have any outs at all plus whatever he bets on the turn. Then stack him and his 4th level thinking.

Well he was good enough to fold KK to a 4th bet PF so I think he could lay that down.

there was a hand sort of like that awhile ago. I think the guy bet then accidentally flipped a high or bottom pair or something. other guy pushes over his bet, first guy calls and picks off the bluff. I want to say it was kiril gerasimov but that's probably wrong.

Not push all in.

The guy should value-raise to 1,500 or so. Going all-in is too dangerous, and I'm sure Azaria would fold to 1,500 just as much as he'd fold to an all-in if he thought he was beat.
