Default SB Special Play Along

1/2 NL at Riverrock Casino

Hero - $220 behind
Villain covers
Read on villain, he appears tight but aggressive at the wrong times imo.

Ive seen him cold call an EP raise in MP with KK. Flop was rags, EP bets, he raises all in EP calls with JJ and he stacks.

Preflop:

6 limpers

I complete w/ 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in SB

BB checks.

I know preflop is questionable, however, nobody ever folds the SB in an unraised pot. I've done so before and ppl start calling me tight and stuff. Plus I'm getting 13:1.

Flop

4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I lead for $15, folds to villain who raises to $45, Hero?

For those who say call what are we doing on the turn, for those who say reraise what are we popping it to? and turn plan?

Thanks

Call and check the turn. See what he does.

I check, Villain bets $50. Hero? Raise all-in and call again? (or fold)

River plan?

Villain in MP1 or so, hes tighter than the average but with some misplaced aggression sometimes

Looks like the pot should be ~200 after you call the $50 turn bet. With only around 120 left, and given your read on how aggressive he is with an overpair, I'm just check-raising the turn all in.

At this point what are we putting villain on? or at least percentage of the time he has:

draw (flush or straight or combo)?
set 44, 55, 77?
overpair? TT+
two pair 54 being prob the only reasonable one

I can see why C/R all in is the right move, alas I think I botched the turn play.

I just called.

River is 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I check, villain goes all in. Call or fold?

Thanks

He could have a set and you are drawing nearly dead, 4 outs to boat.

He could have a holding like A3d, giving him gut shot straight and flush draws which is a coin toss if he has both but you are ahead with one or the other alone.

Or he could have top pair or an over pair in which case he has 2 outs.

If he is drawing, you are basically a coin toss so I think it comes down to your read on him. Is he overplaying a pair or trapping with a set. Whichever you felt based on his play was more likely really controls your action. I would personally lean toward pushing it but a lot of the time I will be sorry in that situation.

You should have decided somewhere prior to the river if your hand was no good. That 8 didnt change a thing, call him.
