Another maximising value thread - turn bet size?
Villain is a bit loose but not terrible (his stats are about 35/15).
Party Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.25/$0.50 5 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $36.20 deaders: $48.95 Button: $60 SB: $164.10 BB: $44.47 Pre-flop: (5 players) deaders is CO with 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG folds, deaders raises to $1.87, Button folds, SB calls, BB calls. Flop: ($5.61) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) SB bets $5, BB folds, deaders raises to $15, SB calls. Turn: ($35.61) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) SB checks, Hero is all in... The converter doesnt like pushes for some reason, my all-in bet on the turn was for about $30 so - a PSB. Totally standard? |

Re: Another maximising value thread - turn bet size?
Standard. The important raise here isn't the turn raise, but rather the flop raise.
You re-raised enough on the flop to make the turn all-in less than PSB, which is exactly what you wanted. |

Yeah probably wasnt worth posting. I just played my first session back after a month or so break and had a lot hands where I made a hand and had my opponents fold to a big bet, just checking up basically.

I like to raise flop a wee bit more in spots like this, to like 18, so pot is a little bigger and your stack is a little smaller. Looks good though.
