Default Set on dry board, good line ?

Only got 20 hands on v, he is 20/11.

Is your standard play to raise a dry flop as this one vs PFR ? I'm thinking I shouldn't mind SB coming in.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

UTG ($200)
MP ($215.80)
CO ($203.39)
Hero ($205.90)
SB ($264)
BB ($86.91)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $1.
1 fold, MP raises to $7, 1 fold, Hero calls $7, SB (poster) calls $6, 1 fold.

Flop: ($23) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, MP bets $14, Hero calls $14, SB folds.

Turn: ($51) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $35, MP raises to $75, Hero pushes, MP calls $109.90.

River: ($270.90) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)

Final Pot: $270.90

If villian has JJ, QQ, A10 and an overcard comes you are losing money by slow playing the flop. If the ten pairs he will slow down with an overpair. If you call you MAY induce him to second barrel or pot commit himself, or hit an overcard pair. In addition, if you are calling this flop with 109s or 67s as I often am, as a combo call (might be good and take it away on the turn, might improve and stack an overpair), this provides good cover and prevents him from second barreling (which is v. effective obv. vs 'combo calls').

I think the flop call is good, because I like to float, so it's good if you float. If you don't, you might as well raise the flop and take advantage of the advantages it presents to you.

I like the line. Very bland board. No reason to not let villan hang himself. But villan's line on the turn worries me. I'm not folding, but damn that's a strong stand he is taking.

Good observation, he was very strong. I'm never folding either, but I liked hearing what others thought of the advantages/disadvantages of smooth calling the flop.

Three way this is a good flop to slowplay bottom set, looks fine. I'd probably bet just a little more on the turn.

I think villain's turn line is a QQ,KK or AA. Hopefully it wasn't KK but 'nice play' all around. Hope it won
