If this is in the wrong forum I apologize.
Blinds 100/200. MP (22,000) open limps, gets 2 callers plus the blinds come along. 5 see the flop. Pot 1000. Flop 3-3-J rainbow. BB(~40,000)checks, MP bets 1000. All fold to BB who calls. Pot 3,000. Background: BB is smart, good player who has controlled the table with the big stack. MP had earlier made a big flop overbet to 'protect' tpwk and showed hand ( even though he didn't have to ). He also had made a huge RR pre flop and showed AA when everyone folded. He was a very readable player who clearly hated to play any poker post flop. Pot 3000. Turn 7. Board 33J7 rainbow. BB checks, MP pushes ~20,000! BB briefly considers things and calls. BB: 3Q MP: JQ BB wins ~45,000 pot having invested only the $200 BB pre flop. Words fail me...except to say that the rest of us have to earn our chips. |

This was a hand at my friends table of the main event, day 1a. Blinds 25/50, folded to idiot, he makes it $1500 to go. Yes, thats 30 bbs. He somehow gets a caller. Flop 555, what does the retardo guy do? He pushes and gets called by the other guy! retardo shows AA , other guy shows JJ, gg.

This is the worst I saw, but nothing really compared to what you all are talking about. Blinds 100/200, folds around to SB who min-raises to 400, BB calls.
Flop KJJ, SB pots it for 800, BB min-raises to 1600, SB all in for ~9000, BB thinks for a while and calls with KQ. SB tables AA. Misplayed at virtually every decision point, in my opinion. I took all the chips from SB not too long after, when she overplayed QQ against my top set :-). |

You have to trust me on this. Against a good / tricky player, you wold have a tough decision w/ Q3. Not against this guy. |

I kind of feel like every hand I played yesterday, I made a mistake of some sort. And yet, somehow, thanks to running good, I am alive.

Donk,
Blinds 100/200, folds around to SB who min-raises to 400, (This is bad. Make a real raise) BB calls. (This might be ok getting 3/1 and in position depending on read of SB, i.e if hes done this before with marginal hands. ) Flop KJJ, SB pots it for 800, ( OK) BB min-raises to 1600 (this is iffy, but at least he's trying to represent a J) SB all in for ~9000, ( Bad, absent a read that BB is a total donk, only a better hand calls here) BB thinks for a while and calls with KQ. (truly horrible) SB tables AA. Misplayed at virtually every decision point, in my opinion. I took all the chips from SB not too long after, when she overplayed QQ against my top set :-). (Gotta pretty much agree with Foucalt here. Misplayed on virtually every street) |
