Stupid new rule in college football...
What moron came up with this one:
Upon change of possession, the clock will start when the ref spots the ball. The reasoning is they want to help speed up the games. Please. How idiotic. Maybe this is to counter-act the new replay rule that seemed to take forever last year now that they voted in challenges for the coaches. On top of that, the Huskies just lost their new star RB because he's too stupid academically. Sigh, gonna be a long year here in the NW. b |

Re: Stupid new rule in college football...
They should just go to NFL rules. None of the stop the clock after first down crap, start the clock after the ball is spotted when a player goes out of bounds. 4 hours is far too long for a football game.

Re: Stupid new rule in college football...
I actually like the stop the clock on a first down rule. I think it adds quite a bit more excitement to two minute drills and keeps teams in the game just a bit longer. Once you get to the two minute warning in the NFL, a team with no timeouts is done.

I thought that would have been far better than this rule change. |
