Flop: (5 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, MP1 checks, MP2 checks, MP3 bets, SB folds, Hero calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls.

Turn: (4.50 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero bets, MP1 calls, MP2 raises, MP3 folds, Hero calls, MP1 calls.

River: (10.50 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets, MP2 raises, Hero folds....

Questions:

1. Was this hand played weak-tight?

2. What do you think of the turn donk bet?

Why is the turn bet considered a donk bet?

You believe you have the best hand and you bet out. Is this a mistake?

I think it is a good fold on your part.

MP1's play is strange to me. Why would he just call the turn when the flush hit, call the raise, and then bet out when the 2h comes? Slowplaying the nut straight?

its just the term you use to describe betting into the aggressor from the previous street.

I would have bet the flop and likely 3-bet the turn.

The play on the river would have been much easier.

If I were MP2 I would see no reason why my 98 or 67 was no good.

A donk bet is smooth calling a bet or raise on one street, then betting out on the next street. It's a pretty common term in the small stakes forum.

Yeah, I checked the flop hoping for an early position better where I could check-raise the field. Perhaps a bet/3 bet line would have been better.

I was fairly torn on the turn 3-bet. I thought at that point there was a decent chance I was ahead. But I knew I'd fold to a cap, so why not put in a bet on each street and see a showdown instead of taking the chance of paying two bets then folding.

The main reason I prefer 3-betting the turn is that you don't find yourself in such a pickle on the river.

If you just call the turn and check the river, and I was MP2 w/ two-pair or a straight, I would raise the river and you would puke and fold.

If you had 3-bet the turn though and I had one of those hands I might consider that you have a flush and not be so spunky, because there's no way you're ever folding a flush.

No, actually, you aren't a noob. Both of these players played pretty badly in my opinion, making hand reading difficult.

After I folded, MP1 3-bets, MP2 caps.

MP1 shoes down A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] for the nut flush. MP2 shows 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] for the turned straight.

When I folded, I was far far more afraid of MP2, who it turns out I was ahead of.

This is what's known as an "afraid you won't bet bet." If a tight player leads out into the field, after a river blank, you will often be facing the nuts or close to it. They bet out of fear no one else will, and their monster will get checked thru.
