Default OT: A surprise from Party

So, as near as I can tell, there have been two major problems with the new and improved Party. The more common disappearing buttons problem and the far less common some of your tables are absolutely OK and some you cann't connect to no matter how many times you reconnect, etc. I haven't been affected by the former (cross fingers, knock wood etc) but have had one set affected by the latter. I asked for 100 bones (arbitrarily 3/4 of the 4 33s I was unable to play)

I complained, explained that I understood internetworking pretty well, couldn't be a problem on my end etc and four days later received a note informing me that my account would be credited for $297! The admitted no guilt on their part (blaiming it on intermediary connections which is indisputably [censored]) but did say that they realized it was a problem, they are working on it, etc. So maybe there is hope aroung the corner or something.

How did you get through? All of my mails to VIP have been bounced and I haven't received ANY reply from support.

party is still terrible. on stars, if you had this problem, the money would have been in your account in 24 hrs.

I figured that it was just Yahoo that was acting up but are others getting their mail returned as well when they try to email party's vip?

I shot them an email @ disconnections@partypoker.com and was refunded $100 a day later from a set of 10 11s where the buttons went missing on me.

Probably less than that, but I equate telling people to go to Stars instead of Party as taking a sledge hammer to the glass

It seems like they are much more accomodating to low stakes players since they don't need to pay back nearly as much money to satisfy their complaints. Of course this is stupid though since high stakes players produce much more rake.
