Re: UTG AA, flop capped by UTG+1
Understand that 20 hands isn't enough for a read from the stats. What have you seen villain do? Does he 3-bet light? How aggressive is he with overcards? Overpairs? Have you seen any of that?
If not you need to give someone who plays back at you credit for beating top pair. I'd fear the straight or a set here, maybe just call the raise on the turn and bet call the river. But really, without better reads there isn't much you can do here. |

Re: UTG AA, flop capped by UTG+1
I'm guessing you lost to KK? It seems like on the turn villain was in a "oh-[censored]-i-could-possibly-be-behind-AA?"
I'd say it's standard. |

I'd check the river
e: You are basically always beat or up against the other AA. |

[ QUOTE ]
I'd check the river [/ QUOTE ] this is hot. in addition to saving a bet against KK (or some other underset -- though really, villain has KK here all the time), we sometimes induce a bet from QQ. |

Re: UTG AA, flop capped by UTG+1
Grunch. I think you played this fine. I would not 3-bet the river, I might consider check/calling though.
Is KK+ too tight a range to put this guy on here? At $1/$2 I don't see people play QQ or JJ this agressively. EDIT: I missed the fact that villan didn't cap the turn. He does not have AA. KK most likely. Sometimes QQ if he's really agro. |
