Default my gay river raise got me into trouble

i think i've seen opponent before but PT is acting up this session and pokerace is out of commission.

i guess assume a normal tag.

i was really unhappy with the way i played this hand and quit a little later.

only problem is the only hands i'm behind to are 55/44, does he have one of those hands every time? QQ would've rereiased pf, 88 is a possibility of course but the odds of him having it are quite small. so from my pov it's 55/44/bluff. that said, is this a fold or a call?

C-bet the flop, it's hard to hit solidly.

Fold the turn you have a trash draw on a paired board.

Just call the river unless he's a moron. Easy fold when he pushes.

its less than 60 more to you....you are getting like 6:1, you cant fold. Well, maybe you can, but I dont. If he has a boat it is QQ or 55, doubtful he fired the turn with 44

As played, I fold here. Opponent is not bluffin here, he woulden't put you all in with a K high flush.

Personally I take offense to the term "gay" being used as a derogatory term. But, then again I'm a crazy liberal hippy kid

You should usually cbet the flop.

The turn is very close, you do have the NFD and it's a small bet. If he has just a Q or something you have 6 more outs. I don't mind a call. I think folding is okay too.

On the river, I know it's tempting to raise, but if he's TAG the only thing that pays you off is the K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and maybe not even that. I think you have to just call.

As played, you have to fold to the push.

1. What Jam said.

2. I'm not a big fan of using the word "gay" in a derogatory sense.

I understand that hero looks like he is in a world of [censored] here, but he is getting 5.5:1...

There's no worse hand he can value push and there's no way the guy is bluffing because we're so pot committed.

i do cbet most of the time

10-15% i'll check behind with weak-medium-strong (made) hands just to mix things up once in a while. i don't mind it too bad, but it isn't default thats for sure.

i'm much more likely to cbet KJ here than AK. you're right though.

thing is when i check so many people will take a stab at it on the turn. i think i have the best hand here a decent amount of the time.

i agree call on the river is best vs an unknown tag. i put myself in a bad spot with a raise which is just silly. i wanted to squeeze a little extra value out of the hand and it cost me.

how is a raise against an unknown?

That doesn't help when chance of winning is 0% I guess you could make that 1% since there's always some chance of villain just misclicking or doing something totally insane. So, I wouldn't fold for like $10
