This has probably been posted. If so, tell me so I can delete.
But, wtf? This schedule is the slowest thing ever. Looks awful (Days 4-9 basically). From the WSOP site. Day 1A (Friday 7/28): 1/4 of the field plays down to 800. Day 1B (Saturday 7/29): 1/4 of the field plays down to 800. Day 1C (Sunday 7/30): 1/4 of the field plays down to 800. Day 1D (Monday 7/31): 1/4 of the field plays down to 800. Day 2A (Tuesday, 8/1): The remaining 1600 from Days 1A and 1B play down to 700. Day 2B (Wednesday 8/2): The remaining 1600 from Days 1C and 1D play down to 700. Free day (Thursday 8/3): Everybody gets a break for the day. Day 3 (Friday 8/4): The remaining 1400 play down to 600. Day 4 (Saturday 8/5): The remaining 600 play down to 300. Day 5 (Sunday 8/6): The remaining 300 play down to 150. Day 6 (Monday 8/7): The remaining 150 play down to 60. Day 7 (Tuesday 8/8): The remaining 60 play down to 27. Day 8 (Wednesday 8/9): The remaining 27 play down to the final table. Day 9 (Thursday 8/10): The final table. |

I'm sure it takes longer than you think to eliminate those people.

Think of it as a percentage of the field being eliminated, roughly half per day.
Can't really compare the amount of people eliminated, cause it takes much longer to eliminate 5 people with 150 players, than it is to eliminate 5 people with 1400 players. |
