Default An idiot and his money!

We've all taken some bad beats and dished out a few too, but this one really takes the cake! I'm not complaining of course, for this donk saved me about $400!

Check out what the winner Called $400 with on the Flop!

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Hero ($473.25)
CO ($396.70)
Button ($519.30)
SB ($462.14)
BB ($868.77)
UTG ($382)
UTG+1 ($96.54)
MP1 ($582.14)
MP2 ($400)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $2. MP2 posts a blind of $6.
<font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP2 (poster) raises to $4</font>, Hero calls $8, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Button calls $8, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, BB calls $4.

Flop: ($36) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">MP2 bets $4</font>, Hero calls $4, Button calls $4, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises to $14</font>, MP2 calls $10, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $50</font>, Button folds, BB calls $846.77 (All-In), MP2 calls $376 (All-In), Hero folds.

Turn: ($1340.77) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 2 all-in)</font>

River: ($1340.77) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 2 all-in)</font>

Final Pot: $1340.77

Results in white below: <font color="#000000">
BB has Td Tc (three of a kind, tens).
MP2 has Ac 9s (flush, king high).
Outcome: MP2 wins $870. BB wins $470.77. </font>

MP2 donk bets on the on the flop and you flat call with bottom set with a flush draw out there, WHY? Doesn't seem like a good move to me.

At which point did you think that calling a 1/12th PSB would help build the pot?

I'm having trouble understanding anything in this post. Is the hero the poster? Is hero MP3 or MP2? Confusing.

What's hard to understand.

Hero is MP3, pretty sure he's the poster, managed to escape with bottom set. BB suffers a nasty bad beat, to a player that made one of the stupidist calls ever.

Yes that is correct. I folded the bottom set and allowed the guy with top set to get shafted by the donk in MP2. As for why I flat Called my set to the donks poofter Flop bet - I had 2 reasons - the first was that this donk seemed to Call anyones Raises but mine and secondly I was hoping that someone else would Raise for me. I got what I wanted but the magnitude of the Raises led me to believe ..... well, you know the rest.
