Re: Remembering 2005
I'll bite.
I played on 3rd day, table 66. Highest chip count was around 10750. I only lasted 5 hours or so and busted on KK vs AA all-in preflop on level 100-200 no ante. It felt like I got hit with a baseball bat. And I'm coming back for more of that feeling! |

Re: Remembering 2005
I busted AcAh vs As9s all in on the 9c6s3s flop. It was at the 100/200 blinds level and I had raised 4 limpers to 1500 preflop from the big blind.

Re: Remembering 2005
I played on day 1 (I think). I believe I never got much over 12K. Busted with QQ vs AA. Tomer Benevisti was at my table, the table next door was Brad Garrett, Carlos Mortenson, and John Duthie.

Re: Remembering 2005
I only saw Tony G at a nearby table who was talking non-stop. The pretty japanese girl in a fancy dress (the one ESPN showed practicing her all-in move) was at a table next to mine, and of course it was swarmed with photographers and cameramen. A couple of guys from my table would go over there and ogle between hands too.
I posted my account of WSOP'05 here |

Re: Remembering 2005
I played on Day 1 last year; I think I had at most 13k. There was no one notable at my table. Gus Hansen was at the table next to mine (on the left), and Isabella Mercier was at the table directly behind me. Scotty Nguyen and Eskimo Clark were also in my area.
Bustout hand: blind levels 100/200/25, I'm shortstacked with KK in the SB. Folded around to me, I raise, BB pushes (later told me he thought I was just stealing, so he re-popped, which is understandable), I call --> he turns over AJs and flops a flush. Turn paired the board and gave me some outs but the river was a blank. |
