Default Party 100% resource-hog since monster update?

I saw this alluded to somewhere in the gigantic thread, but i forget exactly where...nor do I remember whether it was ever resolved...
but regardless it's absolutely killing my desktop now (strangely it's just fine on my laptop...) when i've got mult tables open.

Was there ever any resolution of this? It wasn't all b/c of the slider bar was it?

I cant 6-8 table for more than an hour before I get the blue screen of death. My computer locks up and I need to restart. I'm running a dell xps 400, 1 gig ram, pentium D chip.

You definitely have to stop the sliding jackpot numbers. You probably shouldn't resize it too small... I think the moving numbers is eating at the CPU, regardless of if the image is showing or not.

This is just a fugging joke. Don't they realise this is going to happen??? My computer has become all laggy and jammy in last few days, and I only play 2 or 3 tables. Sheesh.

I've got a 3.6Ghz, 2.8Gb RAM >> 8 tables = pretty damn laggy

It was also laggy for me before the update

The cynic in me wonders if maybe this too is deliberate--just another aspect of making life harder for profitable multi-tabling players. Single-tablers will hardly notice the difference in CPU.

This observation should lead you to conclude that the problem is with your desktop - not with the software.

I've had no problems since the upgrade.

I recently purchased a new PC and party is the only site that completely lags me when multi-tabling. The other sites don't lag at all.

I've had a big problem with Party lagging for a while, just 2-tabling. It's bad enough to force me to play at other sites, at times.
