I don't think u can bet this river, although it is gutsy.

I like the turn bet too, alot of people fold the straight in this spot.

This could have been a missed opportunity depending on your read of your opponent. Your bet on the turn set yourself up for a bluff opportunity on the river, if you think he is a guy who could lay down the nut str8. If your read is that he is a player that can make a good laydown then I think you should have fired a bet out on the river. You represented the flush and you could have made him really think on the river with a 2/3 or more bet. If your read is that he will call it down no matter what or he is just unknown then I think you did the right thing.

Agreed. He called the turn without a redraw? Wow.

Theres no way the other guy can call a river bet but how was he to know the other guy had a straight...

I think I would credit the caller with a flush, the question in my mind would be the height of his flush.

The fact that he just called, is not inconsistent with him having the nut flush

preflop standard call?

Is the flop bet close? My first impression was either beat or not great equity, but i guess that isn't true w/ people drawing with just nut flush draws, straight draws and def TJxx right?

Is the turn bet really that good? I know you have a great chance of folding out the straight and even when you don't you have good equity. But will he reallly have the 89 straight here that often? with what hands? Surely nut flush will be most often and then we get raised.

Once just called it seems like you HAVE to hit it again since nut flush is super unlikely, straights will fold, even though mb not many of those, and lower flushes may. Would they?
