AA and OMG that pot just got big!!
Not much of a read on either villain. I've got 50 hands on SB and he's seems TAGish, and I've got 27 hands on CO who seems a bit loose and semi-laggish.
0.50/1.00 NLHE 6-max (6 players) Stacks: Hero - $97 SB - $125 CO - $68 MP posts a blind of $1 Hero is on the Button w/ A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Preflop: UTG folds, MP (poster) checks, CO calls, Hero raises to $6, SB calls, BB folds, MP folds, CO calls, SB calls Better, Ep? lol ($20) Flop (3 players): K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] SB bets $14, MP calls, Hero.......? Yeesh! I need to raise, but any reasonable raise leaves me pot commited. What's my line, and why? Edited to finish the preflop action |

Re: AA and OMG that pot just got big!!
You're flipping against SB's range (something like this
Board: Kc 6d 5c Dead: equity (%) win (%) tie (%) Hand 1: 50.2357 % 50.24% 00.00% { AA } Hand 2: 49.7643 % 49.76% 00.00% { 66-55, AKs, Ac6c, 8c7c, AKo } One interesting option is to just call and get it in on any non-club turn. |

Re: AA and OMG that pot just got big!!
Kyrie,
This hand is really only interesting if you're heads up, SB leads into you, and you're deeper than this. In that case, it's a raise/fold to a push; his B/3B would not be AK enough for you to be good there. With current stacks, if it's heads up, I raise to $55 and call a push; you only have to be good 1 out of 5.5, and those are good enough odds. With current stacks, and two players in the hand, this is an easy push. SB is AK/KQ/other enough for you to be good, and that short stack is not an issue. If you were up against a set, sorry about that. Also -- your preflop action is not converted properly. |

However, as you know, I've been pretty much re-evaluating my entire game lately, so I thought that even though this hand seemed obvious I'd post it anyway. [ QUOTE ] Also -- your preflop action is not converted properly. [/ QUOTE ] That's because it's not actually converted. Stupid Prima games have to be done manually, and I'm really out of practice lol. |

I need to raise, but any reasonable raise leaves me pot commited. [/ QUOTE ] Well, if this is true, then you have to push and expect to get paid off by AK, and any number of flush draws. If you ran into a set, oh well. |

Re: AA and OMG that pot just got big!!
Push. A psr leaves you with 15$ behind. You are usually facing a fd and big K. A push can be interpreted as a semi bluff and elicit a call from a weaker hand. You completely shut out a draw's odds, yet a bad player with a draw will, ironically, often call pushes here b/c they love the idea of winning a "huge pot" and don't realize it isn't huge enough. If both fold, you win over 1/2 a buy in.
