all seems very standard. on the turn we have what tho...double gutty/NFD/NLD? so 17 outs on the low, 6 for the str8, and 9 outs for the flush. i like it...good choice to just call the turn and not ramma-jamma. well played, and was this really ur most costly hand in a session?

my 2cents

Yah. Only about a 400 hand session. Clearly a mixture of luck and some of the wisdom of this forum slowly dripping into my head.

Learning to fold,

i dont like making this turn bet 3-handed, if 2-handed and checked to me this is a good time to bet.

3-bet turn for value.

Well ... see, now I'd love to see some more input from zizazziza and/or Scott Y. At first, when I read z's post, I thought it was waaaay too tight, but then I realized that maybe this pot failed Buzz's rule for putting more money into the pot.

Counting hard, I come up with:

4 scoop outs (hi only [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] flush, ignoring someone else holding the str8flush)
5 other flush outs, good for, let's say, 80% of the pot.
6 str8 outs, good, say 50% of the time.

So, 10, ignoring any value of the low. That would say that I'm good just under 25% of the time, needing another person in the hand to make the bet worthwhile.

So, that makes me think z is right, the bet was a mistake.

Or, is that just too weak-tight?

Heads-up you lead turn planning to bluff a river high card and it's not close. 3-way you jam and c/f river unimproved, c/c blank low, etc.

Can someone point me too some more info on why I should have jammed the turn here, if indeed Scott Y. is right on that?
