Default Vegas Dining Recommendation - Cheapish with great ambience.

Friends asked me to find a place on the strip that is pretty cheap, but has a nice ambience. I am thinking of going for a place with a Jazz Club type feel to it. We have one vegetarian, and one girl who doesnt like Mexican. Otherwise a fairly easy going bunch.

Thanks,

Dean

Go to the Bootlegger, which is a couple of miles off the strip on LV Blvd. Open 24hrs. It rules.

There's no place on the Strip that is pretty cheap except places like McDonalds. Take a look at the Italian place at Treasure Island.

By pretty cheap I mean you could get a starter and main course for not too far off $35.

I've found 3 places so far that look promising:

Corsa Cucina at the Wynn
Canaletto at the Venetian
Le Café Île St. Louis at Paris

You might try Babareeba at the fasion show mall. Good tapas and sangria, very reasonable.

Time to Hijack the thread.... lets talk about Dean. When I last spoke to him 4 days ago he was at his hotel room in Vegas playing poker online! WTF? He says "I'm not a live poker player", I say we help Dean get the sand of his vagina.

Walk downstairs, sit down, play cards. Its not hard dude!

with love...

Bootlegger is a good choice (mentioned before), but the correct answer is Nora's - and it's not close.

It's a ma & pop joint and it's not far from the Rio at all. Go west on Flamingo, probably a mile and a half? On your right just before Jones - it's behind the Arby's. Great food, great atmosphere, good prices - just be careful if you go around 6 or 7 on a Fri or Sat - you'll wait forever.

The Firefly on Paradise. My favorite restaurant in town. sangria, tapas, jazz atmosphere, cool crowd, good times.
