Party Bad Beat Jackpot Qualifying Hands?
Rules for BBJ
# The losing hand must contain four of a kind, eights or better to qualify # The best hand for both the winner and the loser must include both of their hole cards and the hand must go to a showdown What happens when the board is T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] player 1 has: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] player 2 has Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Is the BBJ triggered here? Obviously the losing hand is QQQQJ, but is that J the board's or player 2's? Is there any info on Party's site that talks about this situation? |

Re: Party Bad Beat Jackpot Qualifying Hands?
dunno about that situation.
But of course their website isn't updated: [ QUOTE ] Bad beats will be paid out on real money Hold'em games (Limits $2/$4, $3/$6, $5/$10, $10/$20 and $15/$30), only available under the Bad Beat Jackpot Tab [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: Party Bad Beat Jackpot Qualifying Hands?
Your card is counterfeited in the situation above. There is nothing to determine which card actually plays, since suit and rank are not important.

No, both hole cards must play to qualify for BBJ. Only player 2's Q played.

Re: Party Bad Beat Jackpot Qualifying Hands?
so is the winning hand QQQQ+J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (board card) or QQQQ+J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (player's card)?
It's arbitrary, so which one does Party choose? |

[/ QUOTE ] At every casino I have ever played at with a jackpot except for one, it was the player's card that plays in this scenario and it is a jackpot. The one that did it the other way had tons of unhappy people about it because it was so non-standard, so they changed it. I don't know about Party though. |

Good. We now have a precedent.
