Just curious, do feel it's more frustrating to play poorly and bust out of a tournament or go broke in a cash game, due to...
a) playing poorly and donking off your chips with poorly timed bluffs, chasing when you shoudn't, playing hands you shouldn't, etc. or b) having good hands, playing them as well as you can, but simply getting outdrawn or rivered repeatedly. |

Playing poorly.
It sucks when, even though you won a pot, you could've played it differently and got more out of it. It's even more frustrating when it's a situation where you know better. [ QUOTE ] b) having good hands, playing them as well as you can, but simply getting outdrawn or rivered repeatedly. [/ QUOTE ] It takes a long time for this to be frustrating. This is usually a sign that you're in a great game. But when it does start to wear on you, just read SSHE the 'gambling concepts' section to put it back into perspective. b |

Getting unlucky frustrates me much more... I can stop playing bad, I have no control over the cards that come after the money is in the pot.

Getting unlucky frustrates me much more... I can stop playing bad, I have no control over the cards that come after the money is in the pot. [/ QUOTE ] You had no control over who won the money when you got unlucky. If you hadn't played like a Mikey the Monkey, you could have won that $500 pot and it's your own fault! That's the way I see it. I'd much rather think the fates are against me than degrade myself. |

[/ QUOTE ] I am more upset about screwing up something I have control over than a random number from 1-52 popping up that causes me to lose money I had a very good chance to win. |

I’m saying “If I’m playing bad, I can turn that around. If I’m getting unlucky, there’s nothing I can do about it. That’s why it frustrates me more.” |

Playing badly angers me more than being outdrawn.
But being outdrawn angers me during the sessions while realising I played badly angers me after a session. |
