Default NL200 - (somewhat) deep river decision

Villian is 19/5/5.5 over 200 hands. He doesn't raise much preflop, but the 5.5 AF leads me to believe he's not averse to taking a shot postflop. I've been playing on the LAGgy side of TAG, something like 28/18. Effective stacks are 300.

Villian limps on the button, I complete with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], BB checks

Flop ($6): T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Hero bets $5, BB folds, Villian raises to $15, Hero calls

Turn ($33): 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Hero bets $33, Villian calls

River ($99): 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Hero bets $99, Villian pushes for $250, Hero?

Seemed like a pretty easy fold at the time, I put him on a set until he pushed the river, which, after the turn call, reeks of nut flush, IMO. Any thoughts? How was my line?

Your line looks good. Even if I thought he had the flush I'd have to call here out of spite.

I usually like a PFR here, but villain's limp smells gross.

Bet more on the flop. Or check raise, which is really sexy. Once you bet and get raised, 3b here almost always. The turn is exactly why I prefer 3b here. A flush card kills your action unless you're beat, and if you're beat, then you're usually ahead on the flop.

River's iffy. I'm not sure I can make that laydown, except that you've advertised your hand pretty readily. But he should have raised the turn if he had the flush, cause you advertised it even more there. It's what, $150 to call with $450 in the pot? I probably can't find a fold here without knowing villain really well.

I gave the 3-bet some thought, but being 150BB deep I didn't want to push and I didn't want to raise to 60 or so and let him re-raise me off my hand. Maybe I'm seeing monsters, I dunno.

This is obviously not a normal fold for me at the end, but what else could he play like this? A set really doesn't make much sense, and like you said, I pretty much told him what I have by potting the turn and the river. I might be good 15-20% of the time here, but I felt like 33% is a stretch.

3-bet flop please. I think villian will often fold top pair with a meh kicker to a flop 3-bet.

for 3:1 I call, but I'm not crazy about it.
