Avoid unpasteurized cheeses. Your low T cell count will make you less likely to be able to fight off listeria.

Saltines. Thought this was standard. Preferably saltines crushed over Mrs. Grass Chicken Soup.

Re: Best foods to eat when sick?
I have always found that my body (or soul or whatever) generally tells me what to eat when I am sick. It may not help, but nothing I have desired when sick ever seemed to hurt.
It's usually kid food, like soup and crackers or a PB&J on normally disgusting white bread and a glass of milk. |

Sushi usually works.
Seriously, though, crackers and ginger ale. Not sure why the ginger ale, if anything just a clear soda or water. Or Gatorade to stay hydrated. |

Re: Best foods to eat when sick?
ginger root is an anti-nauseant. Most chinese food has ginger root in it.
Whatever you do, dont eat here, though: Chinese Restaurant |

Yeah it's weird but as others have said saltines and ginger ale/sprite seems to work good. Soup obviously as well.

Re: Best foods to eat when sick?
Miso Soup or Won Ton Soup are two of my favorites when I'm under the weather.
