Default JJ

This hand takes place at the party 25-50 game. Villian is willyayarro(sp?) and is pretty solid but on the laggier side. My image is pretty crazy since I just 4bet 64s to $1234 from the button vs a BB repop and showed.

I think he is capable of pushing AK, AQ, maybe AJ and a decent amount of PPs. Is this call burning money?

5k stacks
Folds around to willy in SB who opens to $175. I repop with JJ from the BB to $666 and he pushes for about $4.3k more.

I'd say his range is more like AK, TT+ which probably makes it a fold.

Looks most like AK or QQ/JJ though, he would surely call or raise less with AA, KK against you becuase he knows you're going to be aggressive on most flops.

Only you can properly estimate his range here, and if AQ is that range, its an easy call.

No. I probably divide this up as follows:

1. 30% of the time, you're down 20/80
2. 30% of the time, you're 56/44
3. 40% of the time, you're 80/20 or better.
I won't factor in JJ ties here, just because I'm dumb and can't do that kind of math.

Anyway, so, I don't think it's burning money. I think it's a call. I don't really know about any more logic here, as in "He's making it look like a huge steal attempt against a lag player with AA so that the lag will call with JJ," or make it one level higher in thinking...I just don't know this guy and it seems like you don't know all his moves by heart either. Still, I think that even if you factor that guess in, you're still coming out with a decision that is probably slightly profitable.

gotta fold. if he's a smart lag, he should figure you wouldnt reraise with trash so soon after u did it and showed... so i think he's likely to have a real hand here.

Good point - unless he thinks that you're thinking that because you are a smart lag and likes his AQ/AK with fold equity. Big enough percentage chance that this is the case? Hmmmmm?

Grim, might he see you as a lagtard fish? If so, it makes him doing this with AJ, 99 etc much more possible

ive played with him before HU and SH at 10-20 playing my usual game which involves a decent amount of reraising pre so he is aware that I can have a lot of hands here.

as i said in the OP, I did recently 4bet 64s preflop and show so he may think im in an ultraagressive mode (which is partially true)
