Default 44 6-max (line check)

I'm dabbling with 6-max. After the hand, villain said "first time I've seen someone raise 44 preflop" and continued to put down my play. Is preflop okay? No specific reads on villain.

I'm raising it to $5 preflop. Flop play is good, I'm pushing here to.

It's fine without a really really solid read that he's a total nit and won't jam without a set. I'd play it the same.

Don't let the donks getcha down.

I usually limp this but I think raising from the button is ok.

I wasn't too concenred about a set (no raise preflop). He could've been making a play with a flush draw too.

Q 10 suited is in his range too. I raise the button here also because it is much easier to get paid off in a raised pot. Did he turn over like J9spades or something of that variety?

He did have QTs (nh ). To add insult to injury, I hit quads on the river.
