$11 STT (over 300 tournies)
I've played about 300 10+1's over the past 6 weeks and have maintained a 40% ITM and 24% ROI. I started off very hot and then went on a cold streak where I was finishing 3rd frequently or out of the money.
Anyway, to my point. After analyzing my finishes I am showing that of the 176 I didn't finish ITM, I am finishing 6th about 31% (56 times) of that time which is much more than any other out of the money place. Is my thinking that this may be standard for a typical player with "decent stats" correct??? Standard? My thought are, that in those cases I don't double up quickly and therefore am left with anywhere from 8-12 BB when the blinds hit the 50/100 and 100/200 levels, resulting in aggro-make or break poker. Any thoughts/suggestions?? |

Just so you know, you can't trust any of those stats until you get about six times more sample size.

Re: $11 STT (over 300 tournies)
When I really took off was when I stopped obsessing over stats like my finish distro. I think I would make more money in the long run if I wasn't keeping track of such stupid things. Just be happy if you're making money, and work on your game if you'd like to be making more.

Variance. And it seems placing 6th a lot is natural with our tight-early, pushbutting late style.
