Default Major lag w PP - diagnosis?

My PP client lags bigtime every time I try to play. It has nothing to do with my connection.

The mouse and kb both become unresponsive about every 3-10 secs or so, it seems to happen most often when the action's on me, then the mouse will very slowly move where I'm trying to put it, and then suddenly everything is fully responsive for another few seconds until it happens again.

Any ideas on how to fix it? My machine is 3 GHz w/ 1 GB of RAM, it's not an underpowered machine problem at all. It's also not the memory leak problem, this happens right away.

Wow, what language was that response?

I've been having trouble for the past couple of days too. I think part of the problem may be lobby updates. I had it set on one-tables and it completely hung up several times when I was starting up the program, to the point where I was about to un- and reinstall the software. Setting the lobby to 30/60 stud (only 3 tables) helped; when I have it on hold 'em I have similar problems.

YMMV, as usual.
