Default help! the heat is killing me....

I live in a place where the temp is around 105 but very humid. I have a condo that has very large windows. The heat is so bad that sleep is difficult and staying indoors during the day is near impossible. Buying an AC is one choice but won't easily cool the entire the place. The windows have blinds that still allow a considerable amount of sunlight in. I don't own the place so I can't make huge mods. Any suggestions?

shanni,

In the future try not moving into a place with NO AC where the temperature gets to 105.

Since it is too late for that right now, consider a dip in the pool - however warm it may be. A few years ago our AC went out for a couple of days, and my workaround was to hop into the pool whenever I'd wake up. It dramatically lowered my body temp and allowed me to get some decent sleep.

Are you in Washington or Canada?

Im assuming Washington but, I call BS for either city being around 105 Degrees

I know the last couple of days have been hot in Vancouver Washington but the July/August average is only about 80 Degrees. So if you did have a 105 day you arent having many more

StepBangin,

Good question and since he's rolling with fahrenheit it may actually be Vancouver WA.

That said, if he's from Canada that explains a lot.

its actually van bc. it was 35 celcius today. And you are rite there won't be many more of these days, but there will be some, thats why AC isn't really the best plan. I was hoping for some ideas as to what the best method to block out the windows is, or if that is a good idea. I just don't want to trap the heat.
