$50/100 party in the 6 max games. At the moment it's 4 handed. Steve and I have played a ton of hands together and he knows how I think. He's also seen me do plenty of bluffss including CR river bluffs, donk turn bluffs, bet 3 bet bluffs. Basically the whole shabang.
Steve is 2nd to act, he raises and I 3 bet AJ with the J of clubs out of the small blind. He calls. The flop is the Q62 of clubs. I bet and he calls. The turn brings the 8 of clubs and I decide to check. I considered betting of course but for some reason decided to check. He bets and I call. River is the 3 of hearts. Now what? |

Because you called the turn, it appears you're going to SD, so a b/c on the river?

Check and raise calling a river three bet. He is betting a wide range of hands on the river three handed and is paying off alot.

Bet call the river. Your calling the turn tells him you're showdown bound, probably a weak flush, and while I don't know how he plays he's probably not valuebetting a pair whereas he will call with one.

after u call this turn, he is never bluffing the river, especially when he knows u can checkraise bluff a worse hand.
so just bet call the river. he might even get cute and bluff raise. the turn check is iffy. i think hes either calling the flop with a club or a pair, and either way hes not folding the turn, but he'll check behind a pair a good % of time. so yeah, in retrospect, i'd bet the turn and the river. |
