Default Internet banking suggestions

I'm looking to transfer money out of my B&M bank and into an internet bank. Which bank do people suggest for:
a) high interest rates in saving/money market accounts
b) safety/confidence
c) ease of use/convenience
with the understanding that minimum balance requirements are not an issue. Also, I live in NYC if that matters.
thanks

All the banks are insured just like a regular b&m bank. I have been happy with my ING account, but you should look at what each offers and choose what fits you.

go with the highest rate.

Emigrant or HSBC.

ING is a joke. put your money there if you don't like money.

Emigrant has the longest track record of having the highest or near highest rates on savings accounts for internet savings accounts. HSBC is new to the game, and may lower their rates once they attract a significant pool of investments. (Several others banks already used this strategy).

Emmigrant's old website was very amaturish, but they are getting a new website on July 24th.

citibank has great deals for students as well for opening a checking account...apparently at the end of the month they are boosting this to 5.15% as well.

Fidelity offers a 5.08% on their Select Money Market account plus you can get $100 for your first deposit if it is 10K+, plus up to 25k United miles for additional deposits. They have a very good cashback credit card as well, 1.5% back on all purchases, deposited into your account. Fatwallet Link
