Default T-9 s: tough desicion when flush hits

I know the call on the turn must look terrible, and it probably is. Still, i had reasons: first, if villain had hit a higher flush, i didn't want to put more money in. second, if he hadn't hit, my call would almost certainly induce a bluff on the river. the bad part was, of course, that i would still be in a guessing game...
Villain seemed to be rather aggressive, but not a complete maniac. I had put him on top pair, but couldn't be sure about the queens full on the river...

What do you think?

(Will tell you what I did later on ;-))

Result oriented thinking. Easy call. I play it exactly the same. By hte way if he had 2 pair or a set before you cant push him from the hand.

Fold preflop. If you are gonna play and you hit that flop you should probably should push the flop with a pair a gutshot and a flush draw. Since you didnt do that push the turn but since you didnt do that either call the river.

There are too many other hands he could have. Easy call.

Raise flop. Raise turn.

Seriously. What more do you want from a flop with T9s, short of flopping the stone nuts.

Fold preflop. Calling is ok in the first level at a Stars SNG I suppose. I never call this at Party due to the shallow stacks. Push that flop aswell. If you call the flop, the turn bricks and villain bets pot at you you're forced to fold which sucks. Get it all-in there on the flop while you have the best of it.

Folding preflop was an option, but I saw loads of players going loose-passive postflop, so I expected good enough odds. The turn raise, as mentioned, would have probably been better. Still, pushing on the flop in this level, with at least three maniacs around the table - not really, for me.

Anyway, i called and he had trip queens (as expected). You're right, it was an easy call actually, but considering my tourney play I hate to risk too much at that stage... I usually prefer to let the maniacs get it on and only play premium hands and very make safe calls on the early levels. maybe too passive...

Raise flop, raise turn as everyone said. You're a favorite vs the top pair on the flop, use that.

I don't understand your logic for not pushing the turn.
