Default About Depeche Mode

Its pretty much all minimalist verse then busy chorus back and forth till song end. Not much use of bridge and never really crazy stuff. Like if there were songs you hadn't heard you would pretty much be able to say okay 4 lines of verse we are going into chorus with guitar added, ok there are the 4 lines of chorus now back into minimalist verse.

This is not a knock on them though. They still kick tons of ass. Cause their melodies and beats are badass. It is like, if your melodies and beats are sick enough, you dont need to change your time signature or do crazy improv stuff in the middle of your songs.

Depeche Mode is just that sick. They are sick man.

A little birdy told me they are kind of queer, so I bet you could marry them in Hawaii or something. Its like I discovered them, Joy Division and Morrissey at the same time. So all Im listening to is depressing English 80's music. [censored]. And 2/3 of them are gay.

Im gonna be a gay depressed Englishman in no time.

IMDO, "Precious" is the best song of the 21st century so far; at least that I can remember, but I'm hardly at 100% right now...

References to Depeche Mode and bad ass in the same sentence? This is the first time that has happened I guarantee it.

KMFDM totally had a bad ass CD. I was told their name stood for Kill M%@#F*%#@ Depeche Mode. Does anyone know if that's true?

You could listen to some WHAM to pull you out of it!

Or listen to The Cure and pile on the awesome sadness.

KMFDM originally stood for "Kein Mehrheit Für Die Mitleid," which loosely means "No Pity for the Majority." Raymond (Pig) Watts couldn't pronounce it, so they pulled a KFC and went with the band's name just being KMFDM. The Depeche Mode thing came from a contest to see who could come up with the best acrostic.
