Default Saddest movie scene?

Now I know we have scene tons of sad movie threads etc.

But what is your favorite scene from a movie that is really quite depressing etc.

Mines a new one

Lemony Snickets A series of Unfortunate Events

The narrator states in a scene in the beginning right after the kids are advised there parents passed

Lemony Snicket: [narrating] If you have ever lost someone very important to you, then you already know how it feels; and if you haven't, you cannot possibly imagine it.

and the way its shot and the overall set up of the scene, just makes you think either about who you have lost or what it wil be like when you do.

A Christmas Story
When Ralphie comes down wearing the pink bunny outfit.

Poor kid...I cried for him.

Bambi's mom getting it.

The end of The Iron Giant where the giant sacrifices himself to save the town.

This scene in the Green Mile:

Paul Edgecomb: What do you want me to do John? I'll do it. You want me to let you walk out of here and see how far you get?
John Coffey: Now why would you want to do a foolish thing like that?
Paul Edgecomb: When I die and I stand before God awaiting judgment and he asks me why I let one of HIS miracles die, what am I gonna say, that it was my job? My job?
John Coffey: You tell God the Father it was a kindness you done. I know you hurtin' and worryin', I can feel it on you, but you oughta quit on it now. Because I want it over and done. I do. I'm tired, boss. Tired of bein' on the road, lonely as a sparrow in the rain. Tired of not ever having me a buddy to be with, or tell me where we's coming from or going to, or why. Mostly I'm tired of people being ugly to each other. I'm tired of all the pain I feel and hear in the world everyday. There's too much of it. It's like pieces of glass in my head all the time. Can you understand?

This is the first one I've agreed with in this thread so far.

While not as bad as the book, the end of Where the Red Fern Grows is pretty rough.

Zoolander:
"You're dead to me boy. You're more dead to me than your dead mother." It's absolutely heartbreaking that Larry couldn't just accept his son for who he was. Perhaps this is a recurring theme in many movies, but with this film in particular, the sorrow is magnified by the occupational polar opposites: a male model and a coal miner. Derek's search for acceptance ends in brutal rejection and I can't help but feel for him.

Agreed, this scene is almost too excruciating to watch.
